Mac N Cheese!

Just made Mac N Cheese! Don't ask me why my mac is penne lol and that 'white ball' is egg ok! It goes well with it i swear. C'mon, egg goes with EVERYTHING right? This tastes so much better than the first try i did yesterday! Alright back to the books!

How To: Make Beer Battered Onion Rings

Sorry for the lack of updates! Been mugging overnight to dawn for my upcoming exams and wake up only in the evening and be a couch potato for the rest of the day before I start mugging again at night :/

Anyway, i made some good beer battered onion rings today and thought i should share my recipe! :) I gave the recipe a little twist and it's only in 10 simple easy steps!

What you need:

300grams of all-purpose flour OR 100gram of self-raising + 200 grams of plain flour

5 yellow onions

30 plain crackers pounded

1 egg (separated)

3 teaspoon of salt

4 tablespoon of unsalted butter (room temperature)

1 bottle (the small bottle not the large one) of good beer that you like

Tip: Don't buy a random one as you may not like the taste

Instructions:

1) Cut the onions about an inch thick and remove the rings

2) Sift the flour into the mixing bowl and add the egg yolk and mix it.

3) Add in 3 teaspoon of salt and 4 tablespoon of unsalted butter in and continue mixing it until it forms into mini dough-like

4) Gradually add in the beer until the texture is like below

5) Leave the batter for about 15-30 minutes

6) Pour all the rings into the batter and use a fork to ensure all rings are covered in batter

7) Use the fork and place it in the plate of pounded crackers

8) Use a different fork to cover the batter with crackers

9) With the hot oil in pan, fry them until they are golden brown

10) Place 3 paper towels over a plate to let it soak the oil and you're ready to serve!

There might be remaining batter but you can simply store it and keep it refrigerated for about 3-4 days? I'm not too sure as well but if you keep longer than that, make sure it's not spoilt before using it again.

The onions were so juicy and it tasted sooooo good! (Y)

I have recipe for the all-time favorite Mac n Cheese too. Wanted to make it today as well but i'm too full hehe maybe i shall make it tomorrow and do a post of it as well!

I'm probably gonna cook for the next 2 weeks as i'm currently on a Save Money #101 and staying home as well and i'm a bum to head out to get food hehe

Not in the best mood these few days because I've failed my Econs supp paper. I really don't understand why i can't pass it even though i studied for it. Out of the 5 of us who re-took, only 1 passed. We're not judging but the only one who passed is Joleen with a chinese surname so the other four's like a malay, vietnam, filipino and thai #justsaying yknow? I'm asked to stop my diploma class TOTALLY. Like wtf? I'm 2 months into it already, been submitting my projects and all and you want me to stop to re module in Nov-Jan and pass then i can go back to dip's term 1 again?!?! So everything I've been doing is gonna be forfeited. My school's system sucks and is fucked up BIG TIME. I'm just upset that they don't even let me finish term 1! So what's the point of me appealing to enter term 1 the other time? I talked to the head of department and he let me to appeal but i think i might blew my chance because i brought this friend along and she speaks bluntly so he was being damn sacarasticly the whole time :( my life sucks right now la ok? Deactivated Facebook and Formspring btw. Sometimes I wonder why I even study. Fucking failure i am. Why can't i pass Econs?!?! Don't get why i have have 1 A and 3 B's for the other subjects but not econs arghhhh now re module will cost me $300 (there goes my shopping money) I....... seriously just don't know what to do right now. Story of my life in school. Was being upset for a day because Macbook is racist! The bug out effect on photo booth doesn't seem to have made any changes for my tiny chinese eyes -.- everyone was laughing @ me :( so upsetting! Anyway, these are half of my favorite people in class and I seriously won't trade them for anything else <3 Just got home from supper. Survived school and work with only sandwich in the morn and had $8 Tomyum soup all to myself at Simpang. Judge on bitchezzzzz it's the sex!

Yay new additions to my shorts collection! hehe i seriously have a thing for shorts! Partially also because I don't wish to wear skirt anymore after an embarrassing incident hahaha but either way, I wear shorts most of the time! I'm not a dress or jeans person either. I just simply freaking love shorts CAN YOU FEEL MY LOVE FOR SHORTS?!?!?! I swore to myself no more buying of shorts this month but buy shoes instead but I couldn't resist :( Now, I need to start to appreciate jeans though I wear it only for work but I think jeans will make your legs look longer and slimmer? Anyway, I bought a pair of brown boots from Trendy Zone today! It's a bootiful (get the joke? ha ha ha) I think it's the only local store that carries shoes my size luh. I'm like 40, 41 or 42 depending on the cutting of it. Wai do i have such big feet?? WAI~~~ :'(

Skipped work on yesterday and today hahah Kelly is so kind to let me not work because my Dad is in Town. Caught Voyage De La Vie yesterday at Resorts World Sentosa and it's really great! They had 4 funny creatures crawling all over the auditorium before the show started and i am really terrified of these kinda costume people. So one of the dude tried to chase after me and I can literally hear people laughing at me -.- I am such an embarrassment! Town with my parents and sister today and I was brave enough to wear my F21 wedge out hehehe Also, I got ARCH de TRIUMPH for my brows at Sephora by Soap & Glory. I really love Soap & Glory. Virgin purchase at Bangkok and was so glad to hear when mom told me she see S&G at Sephora!!

Anyway, this is my new hair color! Heheheh Got my Flaming Red dye from SaSa like 3 or 4 days ago and finally did my hair 2 nights back! Really happy how it turned out now because it was originally what I wanted! And also how the red dye gets into my blondish part bhahahah and how some of my black streaks blend together! Ah, overall i'm just very happy, more than happy with my current hair color hehe even got color shampoo for the first time because I want this to last!

Watching YouTube videos while waiting for my Dad's flight to arrive so I can open the door for him Bought flaming red dye today to diy next week as you can see my red isn't even out and I headed back to the salon ytd and she bullshitted to me so I kinda let it slide and waste my money :/ my ends are blonder than pictured! :O hahaha next i'm gonna try is ombre!! So excited. On Sally Hansen now and i'm trying to figure out how to order Salon Effect - Real Nail Polish Strips! It's so cool and fuss-free omg! I really need to get myself one of these!! If you know how to order or know of someone is conducting a spree, please like me know!! Time for a facial mask and then shower.

Managed to enter H&M today after work with Yong Siang and Jefferson because there wasn't any queue at night! But I really suggest you guys to go after all these hu-ha is over because I can't even shop properly as the clothes were practically all over the floor, hangers everywhere interlocked and the fitting room queue is majorly loooooong. So I came home only with 3 new head/hair accessories! hehehe semi-happy even though I couldn't shop for the clothes :( seriously damn messy o m g i was pissed abit? For god knows what reason hahaha I pity the staffs working there as they have to pack the clothes accordingly and everyone had to mess it up at the end of the day furthermore the store is really HUGE, 3 stories high. So imagine them having to carry 10,000 hangers of clothing on both hands and put them back. I totally feel them man! Cause I really hate it when people mess up the racks in my store. Anyway, the accessories over there is really cheap!! Everyone go buy, go buy!! Like $5.90 or $7.90 for a beret or headband? Gonna go back soon to get one headband that I saw on the way out and didn't want to queue again :( I hope it'll still be there!

sigh...... I've put on weight again :( I think it's time for me to go SaSa and get that diet aid! When i used it, it was effective for 5 days and that my appetite went down and I lost 2 kilos! It's either that shit is good or my mind got fucked by it. Either way, I think i'm gonna try it again! hahaha need to lose weight laaaaa

Ola! I just got home after waking up at 6:45 in the morning to head to school for my supp paper :( Well, it was alright i guess because i studied this time round haha i really hope to pass! I don't want to be kicked out of my Diploma class :( Anyway, last minute decision to do my hair today while in town! The top is supposedly be red but i don't think it's out yet...... and i bleached my ends~ Quite happy with it though my red isn't coming out yet :'( And the lady was so nice that she kept giving my discounts?!?! I didn't even asked for it but i appreciate it haha maybe because my red didn't turn out?!?! OH MY GAWD. I really hope it'll start appearing in like..... 2 days. H&M officially opened in Singapore today and oh.mai.g0sh boy boy boy the queue is horrible! How can people even be bothered to stand in line for like, i don't know, 1 hour plus?? I rather head down to it when everything is settled in. And yeah partially half my pay was gone today hahaha need.to.stop.shopping.man!!!

P.S Oh ya, i really hate it when people asks me questions and they don't say a word of thanks. Like seriously, fuck you??? I took the time to be nice and answer you and all and you don't even have the basic courtesy of saying thanks?? Not to mention that you ask me gracefully ya? _|_

Stay-home Wednesday and literally bummed at home again for the third time this Hari Raya holidays. Just ordered KFC online with Sis (yes i'm that lazy to just go to my coffee shop downstairs to get dinner) My sister is an ass i tell you. I was about to checkout, she realized that there isn't a ketchup add-on option and she wanted me to call to order instead -.- We still proceeded for online checkout because obviously, she's being retarded. But she became even MORE retarded when she asked me to call KFC's hotline just to ask them to bring ketchup and the lady on the line was like 'I'm sorry? You want tomato ketchup is it?' It sounded so stupid i tell. If i was the lady, I would be like 'GIRL YOU ARE MAD' but too bad for sissy because she called back and said the food was being dispatched out already hahaha anyway IT'S HERE!!!! YAY

Bummed at Marina Bay Sand's suite room yesterday in courtesy of Nat's family! Suppose to do our project and study econs but obviously, failed. Virgin trip to MBS though! And man, I really like the suite! Was a couch potato the entire day today when i'm suppose to finish summarizing my project and study econs :( i think i'm gonna stay up tonight instead because I'm heading back to my secondary school tomorrow for Teacher's Day early in da mornzzz~~~ Watching the Pursuit of Happyness on Channel 5 now! Gonna bawl my eyes out before burning midnight oil LOL such a bad idea right??? Shall be productive a bit now and edit my project at the same time. Really can't wait for my supplementary paper to end this saturday and i can go for H&M's opening!!! hehehe and by then, my pay would be already in woohoo!!! can't' wait can't wait!!

Came home today and received these feather hair clip-ons from Aunt Delko in the U.S!!! hehe so excited to use it! Also received a total of 90USD red packet from my relatives in U.S, Aunt Delko, Aunt May and Uncle Ping! Yay i am so tempted to go change it to SGD and head to the salon for dip dye!!! Or should I just keep it and wait till I go U.S again and spend it? Alright, time to write a thank-you email to my relatives in the U.S and send them my regards! I'm thinking of getting a gift for everyone there and mailing it over. Hmm.... should i? The shipping would be a bomb though! I think i'm gonna start saving up for a trip to the U.S after my diploma! My wayyyyyyyy overdued photos from last year's x'mas trip to Korea, Seoul!! Am quite very happy about how the pictures turned out hehehe makes me wanna get more film and snap at every single second of my life. Alright i'm just kidding..... Still have more fisheye pictures before I left for Bangkok/Korea last winter. Ahhhh..... missing both the coldness and hotness in Korea. With perfect sunlight for me to capture my pictures, it's just perfect! I really like the combination of cold weather with sunlight still glaring at you! Somebody take me there again? For the past week, I babysitted 7 kids. I should really be awarded the 'Best Babysitter of Year 2011' lor. Stayed over at my place for the first two nights and the last three nights at my aunt's place @ Tanglin because it's easier and nearer to get to town! USS on the second day and it was such a bad day because it rained and rained and rained! Bringing my umbrella didn't help much either! But nonetheless, I had fun riding BattleStar: Cylon and Human!!! The only fear I had was Cylon and no, I'm not scared of roller-coaster but it kept having technical difficulties! So afraid I would die midway :/ Mad broke this month because we cabbed everywhere and they a bit cheap uh, everything also I pay :( They think here like Bangkok so cheap ah? But what to do? I'm the oldest and Aunt commanded me to watch them 24/7 lor. Sian...... And also, when Anand decided to join us at USS, I had to pay for his fix too but luckily there's MasterCard promo and he's a child hehehe. OH OH and before Anand came, I was so motherfucking pissed at them because I only booked 5 tix for us (Me + 2 girls and boys) but 2 of their friend came too and never tell me they got tickets! >:( So i auto go to the counter and buy la then i had togo outside and sell the ticket because $100+ gone leh!!! No mood to enjoy for the day if it's on my mind right?! Thank god there was this korean/jap tourist and they bought it from me hehe

Not only they made me pay for their bus fare, train ticket and cab, still ask me to give discount when they return me money for USS let! After MasterCard discount of 20%, each ticket is approx $53 but they all gimme $50 :( Aiyah so long they're safe and had fun in SG right??? I'm so nice lor. Spend money during that week machiam like using Thai Bahts yea???
